I. Research: Anaerobic and aerobic fermentation processes involved many microbial by-products. Application of novel, membrane bioreactor operates at desired condition will enhance the biological reaction rates and rate of productivities. For instance, immobilized cell reactor (ICR), for production of ethanol fermentation may gives more than 50% yield of ethanol with concentrated sugar. Also, single cell protein, amino acids and organic acids are common to obtain from renewable sources of biomass and agricultural wastes. Food processing plant wastes, dairy wastes and biological treatment of industrial wastewaters are my main interests to investigate and carry extensive research based needs of most industries. Enzyme production and purification, down stream processing from fermentation processes are defined based on needs of many pharmaceuticals companies. Hydrogen as a clean fuel and production of fine chemicals from synthesis gas and low value of stock gases through biological processes designing bioreactors are well defined for alternative future use of energy. My research objectives are to develop sustainable fuel may partially be replaced the fossil fuel in near future. I have been involved in many research grants in past few years and my research interests are summarized as following: Fermentation 1. Production Organic Acids and Chemicals from various carbon sources by microbial fermentation process in various bioreactors. 2. Single Cell Protein (SCP) from Food Processing Plant Wastewater or Agricultural Wastes, Sugar Canes Residues. II. Future Research
· Microbial Fuel Cells · Biodiesel synthesis · Protein Purification and separation by EUF Enzyme Technology
1. Enzyme Production, a-Amylase by fungi and bacteria. 2. Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Starchy wastes from food processing plant 3. Aerobic and Anaerobic Digestion of Waste, Biological Treatment Processes. 6. Development of Up Flow Sludge Blanket Bioreactor for POME treatment. 7. Bioremediation of Industrial wastewater effluent in Industrial Zone. III. Teaching
