Message from Chancellor
It is expected, rightly, that a great university will produce graduates with the knowledge and the stills to achieve at the highest level, but this is not enough. The ability to achieve is of little value to those graduates, or to the generation they must lead and it is not enough simply to be good at something. We must have a sense of purpose, lest we take our well-founded interest in efficiency too far and make it an end in itself.
As a one of the pioneer in higher education in the Province of Mazandaran, Iran, Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BUT) came to life in 2008 in new format.
This is the only Technical University in the North of Iran. Over the years, the university has gained valuable experiences in educating and training of qualified experts, while fulfilling an important role in research and innovation.
The challenge for BUT is being to develop learning and research environments that are international in scope, interdisciplinary in orientation and information linked.
In the other words, BUT is an institution with a purpose: to be one of the world’s great public research universities, a place where talented students have affordable access to a collection of the world's very best scholars and researchers.
The support of our friends and alumni from around the world has ensured that Babol Noshirvani University of Technology will continue to have the resources to attract and to keep the human talent that has created this tremendous, welcoming community.
