History of the University
Babol (Noshirvani) University of Technology was established (by memory alive Noshirvani) in 1973 as Technical Teacher Training College in the fields of building, electric and mechanic with the aim to promote science and to provide suitable ground for young people. This university’s area is 17 hectares and it is separated to two administrative and educational parts. Then in 1992, it action to be accepting students in undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering, Electricity Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanics Engineering under consider of Mazandaran University by the name of (Noshirvani) Technical and Engineering Faculty.
Also in 1994 postgraduate level and in 2002 Ph.D. courses were accepted in this university. With increasing scientific and research capabilities, in 2004, it converted to (Noshirvani) Technical and Engineering higher education Complex with 5 faculty of Civil Engineering, Electrical & Computer, Chemical, Mechanics, and a Department of Basic Sciences and in 2008 this Complex was promoted to Babol Noshirvani University of Technology. Now, Babol (Noshirvani) University of Technology is consisting of 5 colleges, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering and Faculty of Basic Science. 91 full-time faculty members are active in Babol (Noshirvani) University of Technology in which 4 persons have professor degree, 13 persons are in Rank Associate Professor, 58 persons have Professor Rank and 16 persons are with coach (Instructor) Rank.
Gaining world’s first place in Chemicar competition (chemical machines) in 2008. Acquisition of civil first place in 2007, and Acquisition of civil first place jointly, in 2006 by Civil Engineering student team.
Gaining gold medal and
special part award in Poland inventions universal competition in 2009 by Mr.
Sina Saberi whom studying Mechanical engineering.
